This is a great country style casserole I’m sure you will enjoy. Baked chicken over a bed of brown rice, cheddar cheese and vegetables. Served with a garden salad and a nice dinner role and you’ve got a delicious dinner. Ah, comfort food, whats not to love!

Does chicken have to be cooked beforehand? Or does it cook along with everything else…

Thanks for asking. You don’t need to cook anything beforehand in this recipe
All you do is add everything to your casserole dish and pop it in the oven. I needed an easy fix meal that night so I just threw everything into the dish, covered it and baked it. That’s it!
One word of caution though. You will want to check to make sure the rice is thoroughly cooked so give it a taste to make sure it’s fully cooked when you bring it out of the oven. You should have no problems with the chicken since the casserole takes so long to cook it will be completely cooked through.
