Thanks for posting this… I have enjoyed cooking and eating this recipe… I followed the recipe for the pork chop and string bean but tweaked the yam recipe a bit… I had prepared this 3 times already and am getting ready to prepare it for Thanksgiving as my family and I don’t eat turkey.
BTW, I don’t use salt. Can’t use salt because of some of my family member’s health problem but that’s okay! They love it just the same!
Hello again Fran,
I’m glad they love it just the same:-) I’ve heard of a salt substitute called “Mrs. Dash” that you may want to look in to.
Here’s a link to their website: Mrs. Dash
You should be able to pick some up in any grocery store. Hope that helps.
Take care,
-David
Hi Fran,
It’s great to hear you enjoy the recipe! I’m also glad to know it’s good enough to have for your Thankgiving dinner! I think your family will enjoy it.
If I may suggest… I have another recipe close to this one that you may want to look at. I think it has more of a Thanksgiving “feel” to it.
You can find it here: http://onestopcook.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=896:roast-pork-loin-with-peach-and-wine-sauce-baked-yams-and-roasted-asparagus&catid=8:countryfood&Itemid=5&Itemid=5
If the link doesn’t work just copy and paste it in your address bar. You can also see all of my recipes at that site.
Thanks again for your comment and have a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday season!

I googled ‘apple gravy’ recipes and came across your site. I already had a breaded pork chop left over from last night’s dinner, so I fried up some bacon and then followed your apple gravy recipe.
SO DELICIOUS. I mean, really. I don’t think I’ve ever been so impressed with something I cooked on my own!
Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe!
Thank you Tracey,
I’m so happy you liked it! I hope to see you back to try more great recipes, there’s more being added all the time.
Take care and HAPPY COOKING!
